Tips to Grow & Maintain a Beard

Want a shiny, soft, kissable beard?

The only way to a healthy beard is healthy skin! Avoid products with artificial fragrances, unnamed chemicals, and pore clogging silicone that irritate the sensitive skin on the face.

Start using Beard oil as soon as you are ready to grow your beard. Beard oil penetrates your follicles; sealing moisture into skin underneath the beard. A quality beard oil softens facial hair, reduces itching, and promotes growth. Beard oil is especially helpful during the first six weeks of beard growth when itching is likely.

Kimberley Rose Beard oil combines six cold pressed premium “dry” oils ; oils that quickly absorb into the skin without leaving a greasy residue. These oils include Hemp, Castor & Jojoba - infused with a pleasant blend of essential oils designed to promote growth. It can be used daily as a stand alone product, or followed up with a Beard pomade or balm - which is generally used on an established beard to style and lay down hairs.

Another important step is brushing your beard. A good Boar bristle brush distributes oils from the skin evenly onto the hair strands giving you extra shine. In addition it encourages hair growth by gently massaging the skin; increasing blood flow. With regular use, a boar bristle brush exfoliates and discourages ingrown hairs from forming.

For best results:

  • Wash beard with an all-natural beard soap. We recommend Kimberley Rose Shave and Shampoo Bar. It contains Argan oil, Coconut oil, and honey protein which is said to add moisture and shine. It’s gentle enough for both skin and facial hair.

  • Apply Beard oil to damp skin, underneath the beard. Using at least a dime size amount in palm of hand massage into skin and beard.

  • Gently detangle hairs with wooden comb; Brush beard with a Boars Hair Beard Brush to distribute the oil evenly. Brushing also exfoliates and promotes growth by increasing blood flow.

  • Optional: Apply Beard Balm as a styling aid. Kimberley Rose Beard Balm contains Shea butter and beeswax providing a medium hold to lay down and shape beards. Scrape a dime size amount into palm. Rub balm into skin and beard. Distribute and style with beard brush.
